Comic Con Revolution Returns May 19 & 20, 2018 for Two Full Days
New York, NY May 17, 2017 -  Comic Con Revolution, The Inland Empire's first full scale comic con, opened big attracting 5449 unique attendees.  This number does not include exhibitors or staff.  Organizers, Atomic Crush Events (ACE), have announced that the event will return to the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario California for two days in 2018 – May 19 & 20.

"We wanted to create something special for Ontario and the entire Inland Empire to call their own," said ACE Co-Founder Gabe Fieramosco.  "We can’t thank them, as well as our exhibitors and guests, enough for the support they showed us.  Long live the 909!  Can’t wait to see you all again next year."

"[Comic Con Revolution] reminded me of San Diego Comic Con before the movie studios took over.  It was just about the comics,” said attendee Ronald Scott of Claremont, California.

Comic Con Revolution will grow in 2018 taking over both exhibit halls as well as the Mayoral Ballroom.  The event will add additional features including a Professional Creator's Summit on Friday, May 18th, play host to the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles as they complete their Comic Book Artist badge while growing the exhibitor and guest lists.

"We are already hard at work laying the foundation for next year's Comic Con Revolution," said ACE Co-Founder Mike Scigliano.  He added, "And we'll spend the next 12 months preparing an even bigger and better experience."

Exhibit sales are already underway for Comic Con Revolution 2018 with ticket sales opening in the fall of 2017.

BURBANK, Calif., May 12, 2017 – Fans can meet their favorite stars from Freeform’s hit series The Fosters, Shadowhunters, and Stitchers, along with cast from the new series The Bold Type at D23 Expo 2017, taking place July 14–16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. 
 
Members of The Fosters family, as well as cast from the sci-fi series Stitchers, the saga Shadowhunters, and the new series The Bold Type, will appear throughout the weekend in the “Talent Central” autograph area, located in Hall A. Shadowhunters returns for the second half of season two with Shadowhunters and Downworlders reeling from what happened at the New York Institute in the winter finale. As the rift between the two sides grows larger, the team and their Downworld friends and lovers are put in the middle of the dangerous divide. Torn between the Clave’s rules and what they feel is right, Clary, Jace, Alec, and Isabelle struggle to help forge a new beginning. Relationships will be tested, a new Shadowhunter named Sebastian will join the fray, and the Seelie Queen will step out of the shadows in the summer season. Shadowhunters is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG, Michael Reisz, Matt Hastings, Mary Viola, Martin Moszkowicz, and Robert Kulzer. The series stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Isaiah Mustafa, and Harry Shum Jr. Shadowhunters midseason premiere will be MONDAY, JUNE 5, at 8 p.m. EDT.
 
On the upcoming season of fan favorite Stitchers, Kirsten and the Stitchers team hack into the minds of the recently deceased to investigate diverse and unusual cases spanning from international relations to within their own families. New relationships will develop while others will end, and the true purpose of the Stitchers program will be revealed. Stitchers is executive produced by Jeffrey Alan Schechter, Jonathan Baruch, and Rob Wolken. The series stars Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris, Ritesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Allison Scagliotti, and Damon Dayoub. Stitchers will return for its third season on MONDAY, JUNE 5, at 9 p.m. EDT.
 
The Fosters returns for its fifth season. Winner of a Television Academy Honors Award and GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series, The Fostersfollows a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. The drama’s fifth season will include the milestone 100th episode. The Fosters is executive produced by Jennifer Lopez and created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige, who also serve as executive producers and writers, along with Joanna Johnson. Greg Gugliotta, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, and Benny Medina also serve as executive producers. The series stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci, and Cierra Ramirez. The series is produced by Nuyorican Productions, Inc. in association with Freeform. The fifth season premiere of The Fosters will be on TUESDAY, JULY 11, at 8 p.m. EDT.
 
The Bold Type, inspired by the life of Joanna Coles, chief content officer of Hearst Magazines, reveals a glimpse into the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for the global women’s magazine Scarlet. The rising generation of Scarlet women leans on one another as they find their own voices in a sea of intimidating leaders. Together they explore sexuality, identity, love, and fashion.  The series stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, Sam Page, Matt Ward, and Melora Hardin as Jacqueline, editor in chief of Scarlet Magazine. The Bold Type is executive produced by Sarah Watson, David Bernad, Joanna Coles, and Ruben Fleischer. Holly Whidden is co-executive producer. The series is a Universal Television and The District production. The Bold Type will have a special two-hour premiere on TUESDAY, JULY 11, at 9 p.m. EDT.

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark Debuts a 2-Acre Park Expansion, 7 Thrilling New Slides, A Renovated Dining Location and Much More!
BUENA PARK, Calif, (April 2017) – The weather is warming up in sunny Southern California just in time for the opening of the newly expanded Knott’s Soak City Waterpark on May 20. Orange County’s largest outdoor water park is opening its gates to guests for an unforgettable summer season running through Labor Day weekend. During Knott’s Soak City’s opening weekend the newly expanded water park will be debuting seven new slides on two new slide towers, Shore Breakand The Wedge  including; a fully remodeled Longboard’s Grill, additional seating areas and new spacious cabanas.

  • Shore Break will take single riders on an adrenaline-filled water adventure as thrill-seekers board one of four Aqua Launch chambers to await the chamber’s floor dropping from beneath their feet sending them on a high speed free fall down a 60-foot tall slide and through a series of exhilarating drops and daring loops. Additionally, Shore Break offers two dueling tube slides which will have riders zipping through adventurous drops and turns as they soak up the warm summer sun.
  • The Wedge will take families - up to six riders - on an open-raft ride as they descend down navigating hair-raising twists, turns and unexpected dips.
  • Longboard’s Grill will return for the 2017 summer season after a complete remodeling and expansion which now offers a newly redesigned sleek restaurant layout.  While Longboard’s theme remains the same, the menu includes new and delicious items such as hand breaded chicken tenders, fish & chips and assorted wraps. Plus classic favorites like grilled burgers and hot dogs. A new shaded outdoor seating area has been added by the restaurant’s entrance, welcoming diners to fuel up with delicious meals as they take a break from the sun.
  • As part of the water park’s expansion, additional spacious cabanas and seating areas have been added to the park’s blueprint. Guests can relax and unwind in the new row of cabanas which will be conveniently located across the new Shore Break tower. A new seating area equipped with lounge chairs will allow guests to relax in the sun and is also located near the Shore Break complex.

In honor of summer and the new expansion debuting at Knott’s Soak City Waterpark, guests are invited to celebrate the revamp with a park-wide Soak City Beach Bash during opening weekend, May 20 – May 21.  The weekend-long celebration will bring the perfect summer care-free ambiance along with an upbeat summer soundtrack to the splashing pools of the beloved water park.

SCUM & VILLAINY CANTINA CELEBRATES MAY THE FOURTH BY EXTENDING THRU JUNE

POPULAR INTERGALACTIC POP-UP EXPERIENCE
TO REMAIN OPEN FOR AN EXTRA MONTH IN HOLLYWOOD
HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 2, 2017) – The Scum &a Villainy Cantina, the popular pop-up intergalactic experience that has been virtually sold out for its initial two-month run, is extending its inaugural activation through June 2017, proprietor J.C. Reifenberg announced Monday night at the Hollywood establishment.

Starting on the beloved celebratory date of May the Fourth, fans can purchase tickets and reservations for the entire month of June. In addition, Reifenberg announced that all ticket purchases/reservations made on May 4, 2017 would be at the discounted rate of $40 (a $10 savings).

For the price of admission, guests receive two drinks of their choice from the Cantina’s specialty menu, a souvenir pint glass, an exclusive Scum & Villainy challenge coin, and nightly surprises around each corner. Themed food items are also available for purchase.

New ticket reservations are limited, and admissions will be handled out on a first come, first served basis. In June, the Scum & Villainy Cantina will revise its days/hours of operation to Thursdays (one admission from 7:00-10:30pm), Fridays (two two-hour admissions), and Saturdays & Sundays (three two-hour admissions on each day). In its first 26 days, the Scum & Villainy Cantina has transported thousands of fans into an immersive environment filled with food, drink, friends and some questionable characters from throughout the galaxy.

“We had a simple concept from the start – to provide devoted fans, like myself, the opportunity to gather in an environment that would inspire and delight. And the wonderfully positive reception for the Scum & Villainy Cantina has been very gratifying,” says Reifenberg. “Every night, it’s such fun to set the ball in motion, and then watch this amazing, enthusiastic clientele elevate the experience to new heights with great cosplay, crazy trivia competitions, impromptu conga lines and silly fanboy fun. We’re so happy we were able to extend our lease and continue this experience into summer.”

The Scum & Villainy Cantina will now also offer discounted ticket-and- merchandise packages. The admission-and- collectible-shirt ($55) and an admission-plus- collectible-shirt- and-hat ($65) are now available, and an all-new “June Scum Pass” ($200) entitles purchasers automatic entry, plus one guest, throughout the month of June during regular evening hours, Thursday through Sunday, even during sold out nights. The “June Scum Pass” also includes four souvenir glasses, but sales will be limited to a total of 40 for June.

Located at 6377 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, CA (near the corner of Hollywood Blvd. & Cahuenga Blvd.), the Scum & Villainy Cantina offers open seating to encourage patrons to meet new friends, strike up conversation, and maybe even find them a pilot to fly them off world.

Programming highlights include, The Psychology of Batman, John Carpenters’ The Thing 35th Anniversary Art Book, How To Create Characters and Write Super Stories, LARP 101: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse.  Also scheduled are panels geared towards kids, web comics, cosplay, and much more.  It's all capped off by our First Annual Cosplay Revolution Contest sponsored by Dave & Busters. Hosted by Angi Viper & Agents of Cosplay, our contest features a $500 cash prize for Best in Show as well as other award categories.

Long Beach, Calif. – The Queen Mary is pleased to announce the first-ever Rumble on the Water, a local, one-of-a-kind Mixed Martial Arts event hosted in front of the Queen Mary. In conjunction with Roy Englebrecht Promotions, Rumble on the Water will take place with Southern California’s top MMA athletes competing on June 10, July 22, and September 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available today, May 2, at queenmary.com for the June 10 date.  Tickets will be available for the July 22 and September 16 events soon.

“We are excited to announce Rumble on the Water as part of our summer entertainment line-up at the Queen Mary,” said Dan Eisenstein, Director of Events at Urban Commons. “It’s a completely new, exciting, and action packed event with a bit of history and a spectacular view of Downtown Long Beach and the harbor.”

During the Queen Mary’s historic crossings crew members would conduct boxing matches to entertain the passengers on board. Today the Queen Mary will continue the grand tradition of providing unique entertainment with Southern California’s top MMA Athletes coming together to demonstrate raw determination and strength.

“The world of Mixed Martial Arts has become a high-end experience catering to a distinct audience,” said Dan Zaharoni, Urban Commons VP of Development. “In our attempt to broaden the reach of the Queen Mary by attracting new audiences to the ship, we felt introducing an MMA event like Rumble on the Water seemed like another win. We are excited to push the envelope in producing high-quality, unique experiences for the Southern California market.”

Rumble on the Water will kick off the three-date series on Saturday, June 10. All three show dates will feature eight MMA bouts, with the first bout starting at 7p.m. The 1,250-seat venue is located just steps away from the water at the Queen Mary offering attendees a panoramic view of the Long Beach skyline.

“Mixed martial arts is the fastest growing sport in the world, and it’s always had its home in Southern California,” said Englebrecht, whose Fight Club OC events have drawn rave reviews from fight fans. “With this series at the Queen Mary, we’re bringing the best fights and the most talented up-and-coming, amateur fighters to the area and continuing this region’s stellar tradition of MMA.”

Individual show tickets to the Queen Mary’s Rumble on the Water series will be available for purchase. Tickets to the June 10th show are on-sale today. Reserved seats start at $45 per seat in advance and $55 each at the door. Premium seating starts at $65 each in advance, and $75 each at the door. VIP Lounge upgrade is also available. Rumble on the Water will take place on June 10, July 22, and September 16.
